1. Who we are

AI Home Helper ("we", "our", "the Service") is a household management application operated from London, United Kingdom. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it. Questions? Contact us at support@aihomehelper.uk.

2. What data we collect

Account data: your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash — we can never read your password).

Home profile data: information you choose to add about your household — rooms, appliances, family members, routines, and preferences. This is entirely under your control and optional beyond what's needed to use a feature.

Usage data: which features you use, Credits consumed, and general diagnostic data (browser type, approximate region, error logs).

Payment data: payments are processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card numbers or bank details. We store the transaction ID, amount, and Credits purchased so you have a record.

3. What we never do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not show you advertising. We do not share your household information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your home data to train general-purpose AI models.

4. How we use your data

Your home profile is used solely to make the assistant more useful to you — remembering that you prefer eco-friendly products, or that the boiler service is due in October. It is never used for any other purpose.

5. How we store and protect it

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to systems that need it to operate the Service. We apply the principle of least privilege internally and review access regularly.

6. Your rights (UK GDPR / GDPR)

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time from within the app, or by writing to us. You can also object to processing or lodge a complaint with the ICO (UK) or your local supervisory authority.

7. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, personal data is removed within 30 days, except records we're required to keep for legal or tax purposes (such as payment transaction records).

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in. No tracking or advertising cookies.

We'll update this page if our practices change, and we'll notify you by email for material changes.
